Fetes and Events has done it again!

Fetes and Events has become the exclusive vendor for a new wedding venue, The Loft at Bayshore. I was invited to their wine and cheese party last week and was honored to be one of the first to see the transformation the venue has taken. What I love most about the venue is that it reminds me of an art gallery. Tall ceilings, wood floors, white walls, and lots of open space...very modern and trendy. The bar also pops out at you, the entrance is draped in white fabric and the blue tinted light continues behind the drapes making it look super cool. All I can say is I hope to shoot a wedding there soon!

Kudos to PS

I love compliments and of course I feel compelled to share it with you all. This comes from Jovanni and Cynthia who I photographed a few weeks ago for their engagement session (see prev. post for my fave pictures).

"I've gone over the proofs at least ten times and they came out amazing! You surpassed my expectations which were quite sizable to begin with. I can't wait to see what you'll create on the day of the actual wedding; we're very happy we chose you, not only because you're a bad ass photographer, but you're a downright cool person as well." -jovanni

Drum Roll PLEASE!

I have been so excited to shoot this engagement session. Partly because the location was Fischer Island (you can imagine the backdrop I had to work with) but also because Cynthia and Jovanni got me so pumped. Since the first day I met with this couple, we began planning this engagement session. They put so much thought into this session; from which location to what to wear.
I, of course, came to the set with my energy and creative juices flowing; and I was happy to see Cynthia and Jovanni did the same. They were so great to work with. I had no problem getting those cute tender moments that I love and the fun shots too!
They value photography so much that they even sat in bird poop to get one of my favorite shots of the sunset.
I left this session itching to get started on the images-the only problem is I can't stop. I absolutely love Cynthia's smile, its so genuine and contagious. I am convinced that I will have a field day photographing her on their wedding day.
Cynthia and Jovanni have been dying to get a sneak peak of their engagement session. Here are some of my favorites, I hope you guys like them as much as I do.
I also wanted to thank Noelani for assisting me during the photo shoot.

Aiden's Holiday Card!

FRONT
BACK
Thanks everyone for all your help, according to your comments the majority liked image 4. I decided to showcase everyone's favorite image on the back. I designed it so that the image takes over the whole back of the card. I thought the picture cropped as a square looks best so I made the card a 5x5. The front color scheme was inspired by a trash can I saw at a store (weird I know but inspiration comes from everywhere). I also had it printed on pearl paper to give it that extra sparkle. So here it is Aiden's first holiday card. Thanks again for everyones help!

Gift Certificates for the Holidays!!!

I can't believe my baby girl is so big!  It was only a few weeks ago that she came home so tiny and fragile.  And now she is so alert!
It is so important to capture these moments when your baby is so small.  They grow so quickly and in a blink of an eye, they are off to their first day of Kindergarten, or even scarier- high school!  What better gift is there than the gift of memories?  Call us now to purchase a gift certificate for a portrait session with PS Photography (and just in time for the holidays).  I guarantee they will treasure it forever.

Thank You from Rosa

We just got back last night from St Lucia – Alfredo went onine this morning and saw the blog – the pictures are so AWESOME. The blog notes that you wrote were so nice and heartfelt –Thank you so much for being with us that day and capturing such great moments. You were so much fun and so great to work with, all my friends LOVED you!!!!
I am so glad that we chose you to be our photographer, just from looking at the pictures on the blog I can tell that you took them exactly as I’d hoped with lots of emotion… I especially love the one of the bridesmaids laughing (which was probably at him when he was crying – LOL) and the one of he and I dancing. I can’t wait to see the rest so hurry hurry!!!!! I know that this will not be the only time I will have you capture the great moments in our lives, I look forward to that opportunity again =)

Thanks again!!

XOXO

Happy Anniversary, Gina & Javier!

Gina and Javier, we are so happy for you two.  Not only are you celebrating your One Year Anniversary today, but you are celebrating your little baby bump! We were just talking that we can't believe that its been a year since you said "I do"!  Congrats!

Love is in the air!

BURGUNDY and CHOCOLATE, ORCHIDS and POMEGRANATE MARTINIS and last but most importantly FUN- a few words to sum up the wedding of Rosa and Alfredo. I always mention how wonderful it is to get to know a couple during an engagement session but I must say I learned so much about Rosa and Alfredo during their wedding. It was so wonderful to see a couple truly enjoy every second of their wedding. You can see the nervousness on Rosa's face when she pulled up to the ceremony, but as I shot her coming down the aisle it was as if she and Alfredo were the only ones in the venue. Alfredo of course shed a tear at the first site of his beautiful bride. I say of course because the love Alfredo has for Rosa is worn on his sleeve for everyone to see. My favorite shot I took was of Alfredo's face peeking over Rosa's shoulder during the first dance, the emotion is oozing from the picture. I adore this couple and their love that they have for each other. I especially loved photographing this wedding for the reason that their love was so easily seen. No inhibitions just true displays of affection were shown.

I had the pleasure of working with fellow photographer and friend Danny Collazo, thank you Danny for lending me your talent for the night. This wedding was planned by Maggie from Fetes and Events, who once again pulled off a flawless event. Thanks to DJ Connection for keeping the party bumping and guests having fun. Last but not least my friend Ram of Fandango Productions was the film maker of the wedding, I can not wait to see the video.
