Miami Engagement Session : Kaitlin and Sam + Madeline

I love how a session is planned and location chosen then it just gets morphed into something unexpected. When Sam expressed to me that he envisioned doing their engagement session at the beach I must admit I was very resistant. You can even ask Kaitlin and she will verify my many many ideas that I suggested. The beach was an obvious location especially since their beautiful daughter, Madeline was going to be included in the session. I must admit the beach is classic and beautiful all on its own. So the beach indeed became the first location and then so much more followed. I think giving my clients variety is a must and this session is definitely full of variety. Stay tuned for the sequel which will include some photos from the beach.

I heart NYC: Cristi & Wayne's E-session

When we got the call to do Cristi & Wayne's wedding in Miami, we of course were so excited. But, when they decided to do their engagement session in NYC, we were ecstatic! A photographer's dream!!! We met (for the first time, may I add) in Central Park. With the rolling hills and the lush trees we had a hard time just choosing a few spots! But, we found an old rustic bridge with ornate railings that were beautiful to photograph! We then went to the Brooklyn Bridge where we got amazingly artistic photos! The architecture was insane! It was sensory overload for us! Once the sun set, we headed to Time Square where it always is buzzing with excitement! All in all, the experience was amazing! We would love to go back and do it over and over again! (Minus the turbulent flights!)
Thank you so much, Cristi and Wayne for being such an awesome couple to shoot. Many times we said that we can't wait to shoot your wedding, and we meant it!!! Can't wait... Xoxo.

Palm Beach Engagement Session : Kori and Darrell

Kori and Darrell were a dream to work with. From the very first conversation I had with Kori I can tell this is a girl that can have fun. She has the best energy and the most contagious smile. I love that her wonderful personality just radiates from her. Darrell on the other hand is soft spoken but has a swagger about him that just compliments Kori so well. In front of the camera these two had an unforced chemistry between the two of them that just made our job sooooo easy and of course a blast. Even a few rain drops couldn't stop this session. We left the session so excited to shoot their wedding in August at the new W South Beach, Woo Hoo can't wait!

Save The Date Card

I thought I would share a recent Save the Date card we designed. I love the neutral and clean look for the card. Save the Date cards are just another great way to show off your engagement session photos.

Miami Engagement Session : Mary and Julio

Mary must have been a photographer in another life time. She is so enthusiastic about photography. From the minute she met with me to every conversation since she has always left me feeling excited to shoot her engagement session and wedding and trash the dress session. The day finally came for her engagment session last month and go figure we had to reschedule because of location issues then because of rain. Needless to say it was worth the wait. We shot at a horse ranch on Okechoobee don't even ask me how I got there but it was perfect. The ranch had the perfect old weathered structure that made the photos have a sense of drama and interest. Because Mary and Julio have such a love for horses and actually own one themselves this was the perfect scenery for their engagment session. I think its so important to incorporate your love and interests in the location choice for your engagment session. Next shoot with this couple will be their wedding in August, can't wait! The color scheme is going to be Navy blue and bubble gum pink, LOVE IT!!!

P.S. I am sure you noticed the cowboy hat and boots...details...they make a photograph interesting and add a little extra POW to the photograph. So bring on the accesories at your shoot with PS!

Coral Gables Engagement Session : Jennifer and Walter

It surprises me how we were able to cram so much into a two hour engagement session. We started at Coral Gables Granada Entrance, then changed outfits and went to an outdoor laundry mat, changed outfits again and headed to the beach. I love giving variety to my clients especially when it comes to engagement sessions. Jennifer and Walter got a lot of variety. The laundry mat was a location that I had been wanting to try out for forever and since Jennifer had chosen The Granada Entrance I begged them to quickly go to the near by laundry mat. I am so glad that they were both up for something unique and different. Walter, I can tell thought I was crazy when I mentioned the laundry mat but I hope after seeing the pics he can appreciate the location. Jennifer's choices for Granada Entrance and the beach were formal and classic which is great but I just could not do an engagement session without incorporating something crazy.
