Aiden's Holiday Card!

FRONT
BACK
Thanks everyone for all your help, according to your comments the majority liked image 4. I decided to showcase everyone's favorite image on the back. I designed it so that the image takes over the whole back of the card. I thought the picture cropped as a square looks best so I made the card a 5x5. The front color scheme was inspired by a trash can I saw at a store (weird I know but inspiration comes from everywhere). I also had it printed on pearl paper to give it that extra sparkle. So here it is Aiden's first holiday card. Thanks again for everyones help!

Holiday Card- with a modern twist

front of card
back of card

I LOVE this card, so modern and so Kati. I have worked with Kati enough that I have gotten to know her style. So when I showed her the first card design she loved it and here it is. If you want to see more of their holiday session, scroll down.

I have photographed Aiden a number of times last month trying to get the perfect Holiday photo. It is his first Christmas and first Holiday card....so much pressure! Seriously I have been going crazy over this. Finally I came up with an idea and thank heavens it worked. I hope you LOVE the photos as much as I do! Now to decide which one should go on the card, please HELP me -leave a comment on your favorite picture.

Reese is 3 months old!

I have had the pleasure of photographing Kati when she was pregnant, Reese when she was born and now the Holiday portrait session of the whole family. Reese is now 3 months old and she did so great during the photo session. I was so happy to get her beautiful smile on camera, at this age the smile shows a glimpse of personality. This family is wonderful and I love that I have been given the opportunity to get to know them. May I also add that I love Kati's sense of style, I love how the whole family is dressed for this session. No Christmas tree sweaters, no red and green but still the look is festive. This is such a great example of "dressing" outside the box.

Not your typical holiday session

When speaking with Tania about the photo session location, she loved the idea of the beach. Not the typical location for a holiday session; but when picking her brain a bit, she mentioned that her main reason for the session was to give out photos as gifts. Of course, photo in a frame is a no brainer. What grandma would not absolutely LOVE this gift? And did I mention the photos are going to be a complete surprise? Beach photos are so timeless and the girls look so sweet in their flowy dresses. I had such a great time with the girls, the session was full of giggles and smiles!  That is one of the reasons I love to shoot children.  They don't have any reservations and smile and laugh!
Tania, your girls are absolutely gorgeous and it shows through the pictures.  I hope your family and friends treasure their gifts; it is a moment in time when your little girls were just that, little girls.  Years from now, you will look back at these images, and smile.

HOLIDAY PROMOTION!

I need to get into the holiday spirit, and what better way then to take some holiday photos. I am seeking adorable kiddies willing to get into holiday wear (sweater, scarf...maybe) even in the blazing sun. Who are we kidding! We live in Miami; a summer outfit on the beach sounds perfect too. Seriously, I am making this holiday season start early. Please don't wait last minute.

Here are some reasons why you should get holiday photos done early:
  1. so that you can get those holiday cards mailed out BEFORE the season is over
  2. so that you can order photos for holiday gifts (ex. quick photo in a frame gift, or how about an album, or even a canvas). After all what grandma wouldn't like a photo of their gorgeous grandchild.
  3. my favorite reason for taking holiday photos early, so that you don't miss the opportunity and feel guilty for letting another year go by without doing it!

Our phones are on standby people, CALL NOW- before its too late. I know- so dramatic, I love it. So maybe my reasons are not good enough or my dramatic approach isn't convincing, FINE how about a "holiday promotion". OOOOHHH....AHHHH...sounds good? It is!

This year's first holiday photo!

Tis the season... YEAH! Oh how I love the holidays. I did this year's first holiday photo session with the Ruiz family. Angela dressed the kids in the perfect colors and I love that the outfits are not too stuffy. Angela is thinking of combining Breanne's baby announcements with holiday cards. I love the idea; this will be a first for me.

Now is the time to set up an appointment for your holiday session. Don't be surprised- it is never too early to get your holiday photos done. Every year, the same thing happens. December comes and I start getting phone calls for last minute sessions and I end up trying to squeeze as many clients as possible. WELL this year I am hoping will be different. No excuse. This is your warning, make an appointment soon. Remember you need time to send out holiday cards.

Happy Thanksgiving!

What better way to say Happy Thanksgiving then to post our most recent "pumpkin" --MADISON. Isn't she adorable...you just want to eat her (not literally-lol). We photographed Madison last weekend and it was so much fun. The location was so inspiring; both Susie and I didn't want to stop. The session was taken at a Kendall home that had a paradise jungle in their backyard-no kidding. We took pictures galore of the lush surroundings including Madison counting fish in the pond. Here are a few of my favorites from the session.--Patty

We wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving
May your days be blessed with the happiness that comes from living our dreams and following our hearts.

Tis the Season

Tis the season...for christmas portraits. Both Susie and I spent the afternoon photographing Antonella and Niko. The session was done at the Liviero home, which made for a beautiful background. I love these particular pictures because of the warm and moody feel of the photos.---Patty
