Vero Beach Children Photoraphy: My chunky monkey!

My nephew, Jordan, is 9 months old already.  It boggles my mind that he is almost a year old!  Isn't that insane?  I just can't believe it!  He is sitting up on his own and just loves to play!  He is always wearing a smile, and I tend to squeeze his cheeks multiple times a day!  He's just so cuddly!!!  I love you, my chunky monkey!!!  Here are a few shot of him hanging out at my house.

Vero Beach Museum of Art Print Exhibit

I am so excited!  Why?  Because 2 of my photographs were displayed at the Vero Beach Museum of Art Print Exhibit.  I entered these 2 photos, which were both taken at weddings.

The first, “Flowers” was taken at Gina and Javier Orozco’s Wedding outside of their church in between their ceremony and reception.  Patty posed them beautifully for her shot, and I decided to plop on the floor below them, and there it is.  A shot that I am very proud of!  (This one won a merit award and will be published in the Vero Beach Magazine in Februay!)

The second, “Dance of Tears” was shot during a dance that Angie Colon dedicated to her grandparents.  I love this picture because her grandfather’s face says so much.  He almost looks like he is in a different moment-not in the present.  He is remembering something in the past, as Angie and her grandmother hug him tightly full of emotion.

Out of 150 entries, only 50 were displayed in the exhibition at the museum.  And 2 were mine!  Pretty good odds, I say!

Gift Certificates for the Holidays!!!

I can't believe my baby girl is so big!  It was only a few weeks ago that she came home so tiny and fragile.  And now she is so alert!
It is so important to capture these moments when your baby is so small.  They grow so quickly and in a blink of an eye, they are off to their first day of Kindergarten, or even scarier- high school!  What better gift is there than the gift of memories?  Call us now to purchase a gift certificate for a portrait session with PS Photography (and just in time for the holidays).  I guarantee they will treasure it forever.

Almost 3 weeks...

Alyssa is now almost 3 weeks old, and she is actually awake more! She is still an angel... These pictures were taken in her nursery on a blanket that Patty and Aiden gave her as a gift. It's the perfect backdrop! Doesn't she look gorgeous???

My little Angel!

Honestly, she is my little angel.  Alyssa is a week old, and sleeps all day.  She doesn't fuss or cry for no reason.  She is perfect!  Just look at her!!!  Isn't she?  After having two boys, it's so different having a girl.  I finally have a shopping buddy!  But seriously, I am in-love all over again.  She is precious, from her perfect little lips to her almond shaped eyes.  I can't wait to post more pics of her soon.  Maybe she'll be awake?  Nah, probably not!

Happy Halloween!!!

Love,
the Canino Family.

I am about to POP!!!

For those of you who don't know, I am about to pop.  Let me explain...  A few months back we did a bunch of maternity sessions (even my sister) and I even commented on how many bellies I saw!  Well, little did I know, I would be part of the belly club!  Yes, I am prego!  But, I won't be for much longer!  Alyssa will be arriving this Friday... (Of course I'll post pics!)  I am excited.  I have two boys now (Anthony 4 and Christopher 2 1/2) so I am glad that I will finally have my princess.  Her nursery is done and waiting for her to come home.  The boys are super excited.  They seem to understand a little of what's happening since my nephew, Jordan is 4 months old now.  So, the concept seems to have sunk in...
She was a total surprise.  Robert and I thought we were done...  But, my little blessing decided otherwise.
As soon as I get the pictures I will surely post for you to have a peek at my baby girl!  Talk to you all soon,

What's more important?

When planning your wedding, what is most important to you? I like to ask this question because it makes a bride think.  What is most important?  Is it the dress?  The food?  The photography?  I feel that many bride's cut corners in the wrong places.  Your wedding is one of the most important events of your life.  And it goes by in a blur.  By the time you realize it, the dj is playing the last dance.  And, what is left after you whiz off to your honeymoon?  Your pictures.
We have gotten 3 different brides call us in the past few months telling us that they wish they had booked us over the photographer they did book.  Because of cutting corners here and there, they had decided to book a photographer that either charged them less or gave them more bang for their buck.  Well, they are now so unhappy with their pictures; we even booked one for portraits of her and her husband back in their wedding attire.

So it's just a thought...  Make sure you know what is most important to you.  Once the wedding day is over, it's the memories that last.  You need to have someone you can trust in charge of those memories...  You don't want to regret it once your day is over.

My Boys...

Maybe I'm a little biased, but my boys are adorable.  Don't you think?  Anthony and Chris love the water, and we got them a little pool and they could live in there.  Here are some recent pictures of them jumping in!!! (Mind you, the pool is only like 6 inches deep, but they have no fear!)

Jordan's Here!!!

I am officially a TIA!!!
But let me tell you, it wasn't easy.  My poor sister had contractions for 48 hours...  And, at the end, had to have a C-section.  But, she did great.  And, Michael is so excited to have his son!!!  It's so amazing, the birth of a child.  The emotions that run through you are so intense and raw...  When I saw my little nephew for the first time, I didn't know what to do with myself!  I wanted to scream, cry, jump and run in circles!  (But, of course I had my camera in hand.)
Jordan Emilio Tomas was born June 2nd, 2008 at 4:22pm weighing in at 7 lbs 9 oz and was 20 inches long.  He's gordito and absolutely gorgeous... (Maybe I'm a bit biased!)  Jordan is healthy and has a strong set of lungs!!!  He'll be keeping Jennie and Michael up for sure!
Jennie and Michael are going to be such wonderful parents.  I see it because of the love they have for my children.  I can only imagine how much they are going to love Jordan.  They are true naturals.  Not to mention, I am going to be a fantastic Aunt!!!

What is up with all the bellies?

You know, now that Patty had her gorgeous little boy and my sister is waiting for Jordan to arrive, all I see are bellies!  Big bellies, small bellies...  Everyone seems to be pregnant!  And, this weekend, I have a maternity session-another belly...
What is up with all the bellies!?!?!

Susie in action!

I just came by this picture and thought I would share how and why it was taken. Every wedding is photographed by Susie and I. With two wedding photographers, you get different perspectives, different angles and more coverage. This particular photograph was taken seconds before the bride walked in. I just so happened to take a peek outside the church to see if the bride had arrived. There was Susie already with the bride taking killer shots, so I snapped a picture. I then ran inside to get pictures of the processional and Susie was able to spend the last minutes with the bride before she walked down the aisle. I wanted to explain the scenario so you can appreciate the pictures that were taken by Susie.

Two pro wedding photographers at your wedding...priceless.

Picture this:  No sleep for 5 days, 30 minute breaks in between seminars (if you're lucky) and 700 wedding photographers.  That is the DWF Convention in Tampa.  And, we were there.  We have the under eye circles to prove it!!!
What an experience!  We were blown away. It was so inspiring to learn tips, techniques, innovative lighting and more from some of the world's top wedding photographers!

Many people get star struck when they meet celebrities. But being the photog geeks that we are, we were star stuck by Joe Buissink, Jessica Claire, Michelle Turner and Yervant to name a few!  These are some of the most respected, talented photographers in the business! And they were letting us into their world!  Amazing! We are truly inspired!  Our creative juices are flowing so beware!!!
