Miami Engagement Session : Kaitlin and Sam + Madeline

I love how a session is planned and location chosen then it just gets morphed into something unexpected. When Sam expressed to me that he envisioned doing their engagement session at the beach I must admit I was very resistant. You can even ask Kaitlin and she will verify my many many ideas that I suggested. The beach was an obvious location especially since their beautiful daughter, Madeline was going to be included in the session. I must admit the beach is classic and beautiful all on its own. So the beach indeed became the first location and then so much more followed. I think giving my clients variety is a must and this session is definitely full of variety. Stay tuned for the sequel which will include some photos from the beach.

Braden's long awaited photo session

I am so excited for our friend Caro and her new baby boy. I was able to do a mini session when Braden was first born but it has been 4 months since. For some reason or another we have not been able to coordinate a photo session until recently. I was amazed to see how much he has changed, all I have to say is thank god we did the session when we did because he is getting so big. Caro was worried about Braden's schedule, temperament, wardrobe, his "photo face" and of course the session was effortless. Braden was a complete angel and the the photos are incredible. I especially love the photos of Caro and Braden, so sweet.

Caro,
You are so lucky to have such a beautiful baby boy and he is so lucky to have such a terrific mom.

Vero Beach Children Photography: Jordan's turning ONE!

Isn't my nephew adorable?  And, I can't believe he is turning one already!  Time really flies.  When my sister asked me to take pictures with Jordan on a surfboard, I was a little weary.  How can I pull this off?  Well, I think they came out so cute!  He had a blast at the beach, and the pictures came out so cute!  I even designed his invitation! (Which I must say, came out adorable!)
Then, the family portraits were so beautiful!  I can see a canvas being hung in their home from this session, for sure!!!

Miami Maternity Photography

What a great shoot!  Leksy wanted a different looking maternity/family session, and she got it! It is so much fun to have a family that is up for anything!  Leksy loved our session with Sophia back in March.  It was so unique, and that is what appealed to Leksy.  So we did her session by the train tracks (our new fave spot, by the way).  It was so awesome because they were up for anything!  Daniel and Anthony were such cute models!  They did everything perfect!  We could have spent all day with them!  And, not to mention Leksy!  She is due in 3 days, and she sat down on the tracks and trecked through the tall grass!  But, as you can see, it was well worth it!  Can't wait for the baby's session!!!

Miami Newborn Photography: Baby Mason

When Marina contacted me to photograph her son's newborn photographs she had one request, "I want natural and real pictures". I of course was the right photographer for the job. This family was so relaxed in front of the camera which made it easy for me to capture these tender family moments. Baby Mason was so sweet and so photogenic. I can't wait to start designing his birth announcements.

Sophia turns ONE!

When you think of having professional photographs taken of your one year old you probably expect pics at the beach or a park probably eating a cupcake.  Well, not with this family. Michelle wanted something unique and grungy, and to somehow incorporate graffiti.  She then went on to tell me she wanted her daughter to wear a tutu and converse sneakers.  Could it get any better? We were sooooo excited for this session and automatically started to scout for locations. We found an area that had train tracks, discarded wood and graffiti near Tamiami Airport. It was perfect. I love that these photos are so unexpected. The contrast of the grungy location and a little delicate girl in a tutu gives the photos a sense of surrealism that I love. Don't forget to leave us a comment! I am curious to know what everyone else thinks about the pics.

two girls and now a boy

I am so blessed to have reunited with my best friend from highschool, and I owe it all to facebook (I swear I did not get paid for this plug). After we graduated high school, Michelle and I lost touch as time passed. She started a family while I began my photography career and then started a family of my own. And, one day on facebook, we crossed paths and the rest is history! Now I have the honor of photographing her new baby boy! He is so sweet, and so are his pictures.
Michelle, wishing your family many blessings!
xoxo,
Patty
