Cinnamon and Daniel TTD-Part 2

This couple had the best idea ever when they decided to go crazy and do a Trash the Dress Session. They had an intimate wedding ceremony on a cruise and the photos from the cruise ship were beautiful but they wanted more. They wanted to "let go", go crazy and have fun! This couple had complete trust in our work and vision. So our vision led us to Palm Beach where there was inspiration at every corner. The location fit the couple as well, the dress and flower in the hair for some reason just looked perfect against the European feel of the session. By the end of the session Daniel and Cinnamon were striking poses without a peep from me, and to think that Cinnamon was nervous to do the session - PLLEASSEE. She was a complete natural in front of the camera. I really had a hard time choosing my favs but here they are:

Fashion, Lights! Natalie & David's Session

You know, this session is a session that literally left me speechless! I am at a loss for words. (And, for those who know me, it's really rare.) But, Natalie and David's Trash the Dress Session in New York City was so amazing! The colors and scenery of Chinatown and Times Square is breathtaking. And Natalie and David were so great! My favorite? I can't choose! Just look at them! Fabulous!

Miami Trash the Dress Session : Cynthia and Jovanni

We have photographed this couple in four separate occasions and I can't get enough of them. We had the privilege of shooting their wedding in January and now they got back into their wedding attire for a Trash the Dress Session. I was so excited of course to do a TTD session and when I heard we were going on a yacht to Boca Cheeca Key, I literally found myself jumping for joy! And yes, they did jump in the water! Can you believe I make a living as a photographer, going on a yacht for a photo shoot...pinch me, I'm dreaming. I LOVE my job! I also love that this couple loves photography! They have such an appreciation for art that they even hired our dear friend Ram to video the session. By the way, the trailer that Ram made is AMAZING. It's on his blog, check it out. I have said it time and time again: I LOVE TTD SESSIONS! We had such an amazing time, it allowed us to push our creativity to the edge. I want more! Our next exciting shoot is this weekend, an anniversary session at a train station! Stay Tuned...

Miami Trash the Dress Session : Zuly

OK, so I am hoping I can entice a few of our clients to do a Trash the Dress Session after seeing these amazing photos. I just can't get enough of these sessions. I get in a creative high when I photograph a Trash the Dress Session. To get a bride in her dress willing to do whatever you want, HELLO...heaven! Zuly was such a dream to work with. She followed direction so well and has such a natural sex appeal about her. She was able to work a sexy pose then switch to that girl next door look in a second. Best of all she had complete trust in my vision. She jumped over a fence with no questions asked, she was up for anything which got me even more inspired. I honestly could have spent the entire day photographing Zuly in her wedding dress. Zuly is a wedding coordinator so it is no surprise why she couldn't keep her wedding dress in the closet, but why aren't more brides taking the Trash the Dress plunge?

P.S. I want to especially thank fellow photog Sofia for assisting me in this session. I also want to thank Zuly's partner in crime Valeria for being such a great support and help!

Cookie and Willie

Yeah! Another Trash the Dress Session! How much fun, we absolutely love doing this kind of work. Cookie and Willie came to us post wedding wanting to get unique shots but also formal portraits. They expressed how much they both enjoy the ocean, so of course are first location was Bill Baggs State Park in Key Biscayne. We captured a mixture of formal and romantic shots that really show Cookie and Willie's relationship. As for the unique cool shots we kind of jumped around Key Biscayne finding inspiration anywhere.

As you can imagine there is a lot of work that goes into a Trash the Dress Session. In Cookie and Willie's case, they had to rent a tux, purchase a bouquet, get hair done (not make-up, Cookie is a pro make up artist). But as you can see it is definitely worth all the trouble. After all when was the last time you went to some ones home and saw wedding portraits like these up on the walls?

MSN Article

I am so excited that "Trash the Dress Sessions" and "Boudoir Sessions" are creating a buzz. A former bride of ours, Marisol, found an article on MSN and passed it on to me. Here are some excerpts that I found interesting. "The concept is to relax (finally!), let your creativity flow, and enjoy wearing your dress one last time in a fresh, liberating way." I can not stress how many times I leave a wedding wishing I had more time with the bride. After all its the one time you as a bride feel drop dead gorgeous, and as a photographer I am totally inspired. "Brides who have embraced the trend say that a TTD shoot gives the gown new life in lieu of simply sitting in the closet." To read the entire article go to http://lifestyle.msn.com/relationships/couplesandmarriage/articletkt.aspx?cp-documentid=6623435&GT1=32001
There is also an article on Boudoir Sessions. Boudoir Sessions are not for everyone, but for those who are adventurous your man will thank you!!!
BECAUSE WE WANT TO CREATE MORE OF A BUZZ. PS PHOTOGRAPHY IS OFFERING A FREE TRASH THE DRESS SESSION OR BOUDOIR SESSION WHEN YOU BOOK A WEDDING WITH US DURING THE MONTH OF MAY!!!

Trash the Dress?

Let me ask you a question... Would you "Trash your Dress"? After seeing these images, I guess I should ask "why not"? Instead of having your dress in an air-tight box have fun with it! Our goal for this session was to show what a great concept this is. The idea of getting a bride in her dress after her wedding day sounds unusual; but the results, as you can see, is worthwhile.
Our next adventure will be at the beach. All we need is a bride willing to get wet. Any takers? How do you feel about "trashing your dress"?
