Vero Beach Children Photography: Jordan's turning ONE!

Isn't my nephew adorable?  And, I can't believe he is turning one already!  Time really flies.  When my sister asked me to take pictures with Jordan on a surfboard, I was a little weary.  How can I pull this off?  Well, I think they came out so cute!  He had a blast at the beach, and the pictures came out so cute!  I even designed his invitation! (Which I must say, came out adorable!)
Then, the family portraits were so beautiful!  I can see a canvas being hung in their home from this session, for sure!!!

Sophia turns ONE!

When you think of having professional photographs taken of your one year old you probably expect pics at the beach or a park probably eating a cupcake.  Well, not with this family. Michelle wanted something unique and grungy, and to somehow incorporate graffiti.  She then went on to tell me she wanted her daughter to wear a tutu and converse sneakers.  Could it get any better? We were sooooo excited for this session and automatically started to scout for locations. We found an area that had train tracks, discarded wood and graffiti near Tamiami Airport. It was perfect. I love that these photos are so unexpected. The contrast of the grungy location and a little delicate girl in a tutu gives the photos a sense of surrealism that I love. Don't forget to leave us a comment! I am curious to know what everyone else thinks about the pics.

Super Sexy Boudoir Session

Another Boudoir Session to show off. This one was taken in Vero Beach at a beautiful hotel on Ocean Drive in Vero Beach. Our model was the super sexy Jacqueline, even the name is sexy. My favorite shot is of Jacqueline in her blue lingerie, check out her eyes! We definitely are spoiled with these beautiful models to work with. Jacqueline was such an ease to work with and I can not wait to shoot her as a bride!

Aiden's Holiday Card!

FRONT
BACK
Thanks everyone for all your help, according to your comments the majority liked image 4. I decided to showcase everyone's favorite image on the back. I designed it so that the image takes over the whole back of the card. I thought the picture cropped as a square looks best so I made the card a 5x5. The front color scheme was inspired by a trash can I saw at a store (weird I know but inspiration comes from everywhere). I also had it printed on pearl paper to give it that extra sparkle. So here it is Aiden's first holiday card. Thanks again for everyones help!

Reese is 3 months old!

I have had the pleasure of photographing Kati when she was pregnant, Reese when she was born and now the Holiday portrait session of the whole family. Reese is now 3 months old and she did so great during the photo session. I was so happy to get her beautiful smile on camera, at this age the smile shows a glimpse of personality. This family is wonderful and I love that I have been given the opportunity to get to know them. May I also add that I love Kati's sense of style, I love how the whole family is dressed for this session. No Christmas tree sweaters, no red and green but still the look is festive. This is such a great example of "dressing" outside the box.

Gina & Javier plus one is THREE!

Gina and Javier are waiting for their first bundle of joy!  And, at the same time, celebrating their ONE year anniversary!  We had the honor of shooting their wedding last December, and when we got the call from Gina that she and Javier needed a maternity session, we were so happy for them!  It's so nice to see a couple from their wedding, to a maternity session, and then the newborn shoot as well!  Can't wait for those!!!

Not your typical holiday session

When speaking with Tania about the photo session location, she loved the idea of the beach. Not the typical location for a holiday session; but when picking her brain a bit, she mentioned that her main reason for the session was to give out photos as gifts. Of course, photo in a frame is a no brainer. What grandma would not absolutely LOVE this gift? And did I mention the photos are going to be a complete surprise? Beach photos are so timeless and the girls look so sweet in their flowy dresses. I had such a great time with the girls, the session was full of giggles and smiles!  That is one of the reasons I love to shoot children.  They don't have any reservations and smile and laugh!
Tania, your girls are absolutely gorgeous and it shows through the pictures.  I hope your family and friends treasure their gifts; it is a moment in time when your little girls were just that, little girls.  Years from now, you will look back at these images, and smile.

CityMommy Raffle winner!

Back in September I sponsored a CityMommy/Oscar Project event at the Cool de Sac in Sunset Place. I raffled a FREE portrait session, and Gabriella won. Gabriella decided to wait until now so that we can make it a Holiday session. Perfect idea, the weather was perfect!

Lady in Red

Lately I have noticed more quincenera's are opting to dress casual rather than the poufy dress. I must admit, I kinda like the idea. Don't get me wrong, I realize the quince dress is part of tradition; but why not have a second outfit change. In this case, Gabby was totally against a formal quincenera dress. She had three outfit changes and two session locations. I love the difference in the clothing she selected. She had the gorgeous RED dress which was formal and perfect for the Coral Gables Granada Entrance Park. She then changed into more casual looks for the beach. One thing that was common, is her sense of style. I think her personality shows thru her clothes. Being a teenager it's all about style and individuality and I feel I captured all of it!
Every time I photograph a teenager/quincenera/senior I remind myself how much I enjoy it. I hope to find the time this coming year to market this genre of photography. So much I want, and so many ideas...just need to find the time. ugh!
