Miami Maternity Photography: Marisol and Raul

Because I photographed Marisol's wedding I was looking forward to shooting her maternity session. I new this session was going to be a good one and I new it was going to be an easy one. Let me explain, Marisol not only has a great sense of style when it comes to wardrobe but she also is so easy to photograph. I was so inspired by her dress and flower in her hair, it matched perfectly with the Coconut Grove feel of the session. I also love how she does not hold back when posing in front of the camera. She easily understood what I was looking for when it came to each pose. This session had a very natural and Bohemian look to it which I think match Marisol and Raul perfectly. I was also happy to see that their dog Manolo (a.k.a. Manny) was joining in on the session.

Miami Maternity Photography

What a great shoot!  Leksy wanted a different looking maternity/family session, and she got it! It is so much fun to have a family that is up for anything!  Leksy loved our session with Sophia back in March.  It was so unique, and that is what appealed to Leksy.  So we did her session by the train tracks (our new fave spot, by the way).  It was so awesome because they were up for anything!  Daniel and Anthony were such cute models!  They did everything perfect!  We could have spent all day with them!  And, not to mention Leksy!  She is due in 3 days, and she sat down on the tracks and trecked through the tall grass!  But, as you can see, it was well worth it!  Can't wait for the baby's session!!!

Miami Maternity Photography: Yvonne and Madison

I am always so thrilled to hear from a previous client. We photographed Madison in 2007 and now Yvonne called us to photograph her bump and of course some more updated pictures of Madison. We decided to do the session in the beach at Bill Baggs State Park. It was so nice to see Madison again and get to photograph her fun personality. I can't wait to meet her new brother or sister.
Thank you Yvonne for once again trusting in us to photograph such important milestones in your life.

Maternity Session

Jessenia and Carlos and Bump!

Another bump to photograph, and a very special one. I am so eagerly awaiting to meet my new cousin, but for now I had the pleasure of photographing mommy and daddy. I love that this session had a mixture of tropical and edgy photos. Jessenia's dress matched the bougainvilleas perfectly and the white lattice gave the feel of a southern plantation. On the opposite end I was able to take some edgy photos next to the bamboo doorway. The end result was a perfect mixture of photos and lots of fun taking them. Special thanks to Jesslyn for being my assistant for the day :)

Gina & Javier plus one is THREE!

Gina and Javier are waiting for their first bundle of joy!  And, at the same time, celebrating their ONE year anniversary!  We had the honor of shooting their wedding last December, and when we got the call from Gina that she and Javier needed a maternity session, we were so happy for them!  It's so nice to see a couple from their wedding, to a maternity session, and then the newborn shoot as well!  Can't wait for those!!!

Baby Girl on it's way!

Kati as you can see is well into her pregnancy, and I am so glad we were able to shoot her pregnancy on time. We had no choice but to do the session at her home since she was on bed rest. I am so glad we did, her home made a beautiful back drop. With a beautiful setting and such a wonderful couple I had no problem getting inspired and creative. For maternity sessions I think it's important to pick out the right wardrobe. Your clothes should accentuate your belly definitely. I also think it's important to have either black or white clothes, in Kati's session she wore both. The reason for this is to get pictures like the black and white picture of Kati by the window. I almost always try to get this type of photo, it is timeless and the lighting by the window makes her glow beautifully. Don't get me wrong the photos of Kati outside in her trendy dress are amazing. The dress was perfect to pull off this model look. Overall this session was a huge success I am so happy with pictures. I hope to have the opportunity to photograph them again with their new bundle of joy!

Here's another Belly!!!

I told you, another belly.  It's so funny...

The whole family is excited and can't wait for Ana Sofia to
arrive!  T.J. and Vicky are such adorable kids, I just can only imagine how beautiful the baby will be.

It was a gorgeous but windy (not to mention, chilly) day at the beach.  The kids were having a blast running around.  Aileen and Tony were troopers, considering the 55 degree weather we had!  But it was worth it...  Just take a look...

Jennie's Maternity Shoot, PT 1

I just still can't believe it...  I am going to be a Tia!  (a.k.a. aunt)  My little sister and Michael are having a boy.  She looks so cute with her little belly.  Today we took full advantage of the beautiful day at the beach to shoot some pictures of them.  Funny thing is, she was so embarrassed to walk around with her belly out!  I'm not sure why, she looks great!!!  She finally got over it and the shots were amazing.  Can't wait for the next shoot (these are the perks for having a photographer who is also your sister).
